Aurélie 1er anniversaire

Our colleague Aurélie in 9 questions

Exactly one year ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming Aurélie as our new colleague. This month, she will celebrate her first year as Account Manager at Luna, after working as a communication manager in a non-profit organisation. Young, dynamic and often seen in a pair of trendy trainers, Aurélie is both committed to and passionate about communication – a field that neatly matches her charming personality. Join us now to discover a few different aspects of her professional and personal character.

1) What do you like doing in your daily job?

I especially enjoy the wide range of tasks and the variety of sectors in which our clients operate. I like press relations – it’s a field that quenches my thirst for discovery. I’ve always been keen on languages, in which I take great pleasure in being creative. That said, I know I can call at any time on my fellow colleagues, who are naturally positive and open. At Luna, we’re always busy, but no two days are the same, which is just as like it!

2) If you were a work of art, what would it be?

Art is my passion, though I don’t really have any favourite works. Surrealist painters such as Dali and Magritte mean a lot to me, not least because their dream-like works stimulate my imagination and creativity.

3) Which special power would you like to have?

If I could have one super power, it would be teleportation. As I adore travel, it would be brilliant to be instantly transported from one end of the world to another. That would be really handy and I could save time on travelling!

4) Do you have a favourite motto?

It always seems impossible until it’s done,” as Nelson Mandela once said. What I’ve learned is that you have to devote all your time and energy to getting something you really want. We can often do more than we initially imagine.

5) If you were a book, which one would you be?

If I had to pick a book, it would be ‘The Sun and Her Flowers’ by Rupi Kaur. This collection of poems is sometimes soothing, but mostly inspirational. Above all, they encourage me to challenge myself!

6) What’s your idea of perfect happiness?

I’m happy with my everyday life! I try hard to enjoy life’s simple pleasures, because in the long run they are the ones we’ll remember. The coronavirus crisis has really highlighted to me the fragility of life. So I strive to make the most of every moment.

7) What’s your favourite flower?

Orchids. I love their exoticness and incredible colours, which give them such a unique elegance.

8) Do you have a favourite bird?

It’s the hummingbird. This tiny bird boasts a shimmering plumage. Plus it’s the only bird species capable of flying backwards, enabling them to quickly and efficiently sip on flowers’ nectar. That’s why they’re sometimes called ‘helicopters’.

9) If you were a mythical animal, what would it be?

I would like to be a phoenix. Because I could then keep on rising from the ashes and come back even stronger each time. Now that would be amazing, don’t you think?
